Tell ‘Em Roxy Sent You and Save $50 on Sunday Kids Birthday Parties at Randolph Gymnastics in Randolph, New Jersey

With cooler weather upon us in the month of November, I’ve got a fire roaring in my home office fireplace and my kids are bouncing off the walls.  Sometimes I worry that London and Maddie are “overprogrammed” with Garden State Ballet, Randolph Gymnastics, and Pavan’s Tennis Academy on top of school and homework.  In the winter, though, I’m always glad to have them burning off their extra energy and getting some healthy, supervised exercise through their after school actvities.

Our family first discovered Randolph Gymnastics at a pre-school birthday party when Maddie and London were 2 and 3 years old back in the Fall of 2004. Since then, our girls have enjoyed the giant slide, tarzan rope and jumping castle with their friends at countless Randolph Gymnastics birthday parties. More importantly, we were inspired by the amazing “Olympic size” facilities to start gymnastics classes, and this year marks London and Maddie’s fourth year of lessons at Randolph Gymnastics.

Now my little girls are growing up…gone are the days when Maddie would cling to my leg and refuse to take part in birthday party activities at local Morris County, NJ venues, unless Mommy would go down the giant slide, hold onto the parachute, or cut up her pizza into little bite-sized pieces. One recent Sunday morning, London, Maddie and I rushed over to Randolph Gymnastics after church to attend the 7th birthday party of my good friend Hope’s daughter, proving that our older kids still haven’t outgrown the place for parties. I didn’t have my Canon Digital Rebel with me for action shots, but I’m going to try to post some of the party photos from my iPhone so you can see the giant slide with your own two eyes.

If you’re interested in hosting your child’s birthday party at Randolph Gymnastics, Roxy’s got a promotional discount code for you.  Call (973) 584-4111, ask for Shannon the manager, and tell ‘em Roxy sent you… you’ll save $50 off the price of a Sunday birthday party. Speaking from experience, I can also say that Sunday, particularly late morning into early afternoon, is the best time for a gymnastics birthday party. It just feels a lot less hectic than weekday evenings or Saturdays, and I’ve enjoyed catching up with the other parents while our kids get their ya-yas out with the exceptional staff of Randolph Gymnastics.

One important difference to note if you’re making the transition from a birthday party at Time In to Randolph Gymnastics is that Time In provided pizza, hot dogs, drinks and party room staffers. At Randolph Gymnastics, the staff is terrific on the gymnastics floor, but in the party room you are on your own with the food, drinks and decorations.  Particularly with younger children, it may be worth your while to hire a couple of teenage “babysitters” to help with things like setting up balloons, tablecloths, paper plates, etc., although at younger ages many more parents do tend to stick around and help out.  What you may or may not know about Roxy is that I cannot, absolutely cannot, stand to see children eat, with all of their disgusting habits….I’ve successfully scheduled all of London and Maddie’s parties from 2:00pm - 4:00pm, avoiding the need to feed.  Of course, we always celebrate with a spectacular birthday cake from Carol Falcone (our Cake Lady) in Far Hills, NJ.

Randolph Gymnastics, 3 Middlebury Boulevard, Randolph, NJ  07869.  Phone:  (973) 584-4111.  Be sure to tell ‘em Roxy sent you, and do stop back at Roxy’s Best Of… and leave a comment to let us know about your birthday party experience.
